The last training for 2022 will be Tuesday 20 December. The first training for 2023 will be Thursday 12 January 2023.
A small grading was held on 03 December 2022. Congratulations to all who were successful. Zac Chai, Chiaki Lin, Harald Lin all passed and gained the rank of shodan (1st dan). Andre Karlovsky gained the rank of 5th kyu.
Over the weekend clubs from the North Island (North Shore, Auckland, Rembuden, Yoshinkan), South Island (Marukenshikai, Canterbury, Otago) and Kyorin University (Japan) competed at the 22nd Rembuden Kendo Taikai. This tournament was run consecutively on an annual basis from 2000 - 2020. It was disrupted in 2021 due to Covid. However this weekend we were back to business as usual. Rembuden once again did very well across all divisions. The club results were as follows:
